Hack For New College Session
A new session of college is going to begin from the next month and everyone is searching for the right motivation, right hacks and right ways to study. This is the compilation of whatever I could find on the internet regarding hacks and study tips for the next whole session. Read and please apply them in your life if you deem them useful and necessary. So let's jump right in:
1. Right place to Study
It is very important to have clean, well furnished and fixed place to study so that, every time you sit on that chair to study, you will get a moral boost and you can study well even when you had bad days and fell like not studying. A study has shown that when students just wrote the word study area on a paper and hung in their table they increased their GPA. Except that this will also help you organize your study materials and goods.
2. Note taking system
It is really important for you as a student to take notes in class. But just mindlessly jotting down what the teacher says will not be the right way forward. Instead, you will need a system. I myself have used a few of the proven note-taking system and some have been more useful than the other. My favorite on is the combination of Outline Method for taking note in class and The Cornell Method for making a more formal note for future use at home.
What you need to do is first write what your teacher teaches in class in the Outline Method and then in your free time/ study time use your notes and textbook to make a more refined note in the Cornell Format. At last, you can type them in EverNote and sync them to your different device and save them in DropBox.
3. Wake up Early
And I know that wake up early is a suggestion that's easy said than done. But without a good morning routine which involves exercise, coffee and a good planning of the day, you will not be able to do well in anything. And for this, I suggest you map your sleep cycle and work according to it. You can go to sleepyti.me to calculate when you need to sleep to wake up fresh and active.
4. Track your habit and build on them
5.Finally, Don't Overload the system
Whenever you study, may that be in school, college, house remember to have fun and don't forget to stop and think "Is this the best use of my time?" "Can I be doing something better? "and "Shouldn't I be subscribing to this blog and liking it as well as sharing this to my idiot best friend"
That's all for this week, come back next week for some more college and life hack and don't forget to stay awesome.

4. Track your habit and build on them
You need to build good habits to remain active and motivated throughout the year. This will involve set time to wake up and sleep (I suggest 5:45 A.M. as a time to wake up and 10:00 as the time to sleep.), never forget to update your notes and journal, exercise and create a to-do list. For this I suggest Habitica. This is a role playing RPG to-do list. Yes, a role playing RPG to-do list which will reward you points for completing a task on your to-do list. You can also create a daily routine. My daily routine is shown in the picture.
